Ape Escape Ps5 Port Review
I have to say at the start here that this game is enjoyable for how old it is (26 years old). There are many points that do seem random, unless I somehow just missed something like the seemingly random encounter with the main character’s friend. Given the story of apes trying to take over the world during this period, such a random involvement of this causes the game to be more enjoyable as it does show the surprising nature that games took in the earlier days. The main complaint I have for the ps5 ported edition of the game is that it does seem to hold the ps1 control of the player, which doesn’t feel like it should exist for a console like ps5 and does make it feel more difficult than it should. I seem to be doing less of a job in this game review to prevent spoilers because, for one, the game is 26 years old, easily making this the oldest game I’ve reviewed so far.
