Hogwarts Legacy Review

I do have to say that Hogwarts Legacy is a good game. Though it’s a good game, I did find there are a few issues with it that felt like it took away from turning it into an amazing game on the level Red Dead Redemption 2 is for me. Though that is an unfair comparison as well in my eyes simply because of genre differences. Unfortunately, I don’t have any recent fantasy games to compare it to making recent titles the only fair comparison. To try and keep my negative opinions to a minimum, there is one key point that I wanted to touch on in this way that could have been worked on better, and that’s the battling system in place. The spells themselves, of course, are not what I refer to as they are the basis for the world of Harry Potter. Instead, it deals with Hogwarts Legacy using a leveling system. This, I feel, isn’t right for the game that has a heavy emphasis on magic. Instead, the best way that they could have dealt with it is set the enemies to a general difficulty throughout...

Ape Escape Ps5 Port Review

I have to say at the start here that this game is enjoyable for how old it is (26 years old). There are many points that do seem random, unless I somehow just missed something like the seemingly random encounter with the main character’s friend. Given the story of apes trying to take over the world during this period, such a random involvement of this causes the game to be more enjoyable as it does show the surprising nature that games took in the earlier days. The main complaint I have for the ps5 ported edition of the game is that it does seem to hold the ps1 control of the player, which doesn’t feel like it should exist for a console like ps5 and does make it feel more difficult than it should.      I seem to be doing less of a job in this game review to prevent spoilers because, for one, the game is 26 years old, easily making this the oldest game I’ve reviewed so far. Because of this, there is less reason to hide any of the story. I feel that th...

I played the Valhalla dlc to God of War Ragnorak

So, I finished the dlc Valhalla to God of War Ragnarök and I have to say it was enjoyable for how short it was, though the shortness works in favor to the story it goes on to tell, basically Kratos being invited to Valhalla by a person I’ll not mention here for spoilers sake, I can only recommend it to find out who it is, though play the story of the 2018 god of war and Ragnarök first so that the story makes more sense as to what the characters are talking about. From what I was told ahead of time by a friend prior to playing, I did come to expect it to be set in a system like it has, just not as heavy of a story as it turned out to be, which surprised me. I found the ending more surprising. As I have finished to story to the ps4 remaster of God of War 3, I figured one point brought up was dealt with already to an extent where there would be no point in turning the end of the dlc as part of this. Though, I cannot say this is bad, but otherwise. It felt like it was expanding o...

So I just finished the story to GTA 5

It's safe to say that GTA 5 needs no introduction. But, it's about time I got around to finishing the main story to the game after it having been out for 12 years by this point. Though I've managed to be distracted at times at all the side missions that do exist, from the rampages to the strangers and freaks, it's finally come to a close.      I found that it is a good story overall. There are many interesting points that have caught my attention, though, of it all, what caught my attention of it is the unique nature of the story and the ending that came with it. To be fair, I did have the ending spoiled, though that shouldn't've come as a surprise as it took my 12 years as previously mentioned. I don't want to spoil anything, as that's the last thing I'd like to do, so I'll leave out the ending. One point I'm still going to try getting through eventually is 100% completing the story as I'd like to see as many of the encounters as I ...

Daxter

Daxter is the first of the psp ports I began to play. It was released on March 14 th , 2006, on the psp and on ps4/5 on June 18 th , 2024, developed by the company Ready at Dawn and Implicit Conversions Inc. The game follows the side character of the main series Daxter as he goes through Haven City over the two-year imprisonment of Jak. It’s a game that comes to be far simpler than the three main games (the two side games being excluded for this review). There are many points of the game that I have gone through quickly and know everyone who plays will feel the same upon playing. There are a two main points that have maintained some semblance of a challenge, which I like as it at least gives something to place a focus on instead of just mindlessly playing. One of these is the minigames; this isn’t a required point of the game to play, rather a point to have the game keep some entertainment with reference of media of the time such as with a Matrix and Lord of the Rings reference...

Intro Post

Hey Everyone, So, I cannot say if I'll have a schedule for when I'll post reviews. Though this may not be the best for the people who want to stay up-to-date with games, this blog is more to give my thoughts on certain games I'll play. One of the rules that I'll do what I can to stick to is not to post a review on a game I've played on my youtube channel (the link to this channel being at the main hub). There will be an exception or two depending on the type of game. One clear exception I know will be for Vintage Story, once I get around to it that is. This is only because the company whose working on it admits they will be updating the game for years in the future, meaning there will be more content to cover that likely will not see it's way onto the channel.
